CELEBRATION DAY

The Global Speakers Federation (GSF) is excited to announce that on March 14th, 2026, we will be holding our fourth worldwide Professional Speakers Celebration Day.

As members of the global speaker community, it is our responsibility to recognize and support one another as we continue to grow and advance this exciting profession.

PURPOSE

This day is an important opportunity for all of us to come together and celebrate the inspiring work that professional speakers do.

By celebrating this day worldwide and through the support of all 17 GSF associations members, we will be able to:

	recognize and celebrate the current members of your associations,
	showcase the unmatched experience, insight, and talent of your members,
	create interest for the next generation of speakers and potential members for your associations,
	create public awareness of the role and value of professional speakers,
	support GSF's vision of strengthening our global speaker community by
	building relationships across borders,
	continue to grow as a global force for positive change.

March 14th (also known as "pi" day π (i.e., 3.14) has been chosen to celebrate this worldwide day, as the word "pi" also ties into the motto of Cavett Robert (cofounder of the National Speakers Association):

"Don't worry about how we divide up the pie. There is enough for everybody. Let's just make a bigger pie!"

These words are as true today for all professional speakers, locally and globally, as back then. By celebrating Professional Speakers Celebration Day together, we are showing the world that our profession is strong and growing and that there is enough room for all of us (and even more) to thrive. Together we can strengthen our global speaking community, build relationships across borders, and create a more inclusive, inspiring future for all.

Whether you are an association president, a GSF representative, or an association management executive, we encourage you to join us in celebrating Professional Speakers Celebration Day and take the steps necessary to make it a success. To help you do this, GSF has created a variety of resources and collaterals that you can use to make the celebration as easy and impactful as possible for your association. These are detailed in the Professional Speakers Celebration Day 2026 playbook that every association leader has access to here.

Each association president (or GSF representative) is encouraged to include their board members, chapter presidents, volunteers, association staff and association management companies as soon as possible to get involved:

• by sharing this information with the individuals in their association that can support the activities around this day.
• by providing them with the materials in this playbook and anything their association will create to celebrate this day.
  
• by encouraging their associations and its members to share their accomplishments on this day with GSF, so we can continue to highlight the amazing work of our community and raise more awareness about what it means to be a professional speaker.
