Speaking Certifications

  • Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) is the speaking profession’s highest-earned measure of professional platform competence, which recognizes top-notch speaking ability and a track record of professionalism and success. It also ensures competency as a certified professional as a speaker, trainer, facilitator, consultant, or coach. This designation is conferred by the National Speakers Association (NSAUS) and Professional Speakers Australia (PSA).  The CSP is a prerequisite requirement for earning the international designation of Global Speaking Fellow, which GSF member associations confer. The CSP selection process includes:

    • Internal review

    • External review

    • Standard evaluation forms and processes

 

  • Fellowship of the PSA (FPSA) is the highest grade of membership you can apply for within the Professional Speaking Association (United Kingdom and Ireland). It is awarded only to individuals who earn significant income from speaking and deemed by other Fellows to be worthy of this status. The Professional Speakers Association (PSA) of the United Kingdom and Ireland bestows upon its members the Fellowship of the Professional Speakers Association (FPSA), which the GSF accepts as equivalent to the CSP in order to apply for the Global SpeakingFellow designation. The FPSA selection process includes:

    • External review

    • Standard evaluation forms and processes

 

  • Global Speaking Fellow (no acronym used) is conferred by GSF member associations and certifies a speaker’s ability to maintain a speaking business spanning countries, continents, economies, and cultures. The Global Speaking Federation has identified four core competency areas of global speaking:

  1. Global Communication Competency

  2. Global Business Competency

  3. Global Travel Competency

  4. Global Events Competency

The Global Speaking Fellow selection process includes:
